DAY 1.

BARCELONA.

Welcome to Catalonia.

Arrival at Barcelona Airport and meeting with the assistance team.

Transfer to the selected hotel in the city center.

Barcelona is one of the most admired cities in Europe. Cosmopolitan, creative, and open to the Mediterranean, it has successfully preserved its historical heritage while becoming a global benchmark for architecture, design, gastronomy, and quality of life.

Founded as a Roman colony under the name Barcino, the city experienced significant growth during the Middle Ages thanks to maritime trade and gained international recognition through the artistic revolution of Catalan Modernism.

After check-in, time to relax and begin discovering the city’s Mediterranean atmosphere.

The first evening will allow participants to share their first impressions while enjoying the renowned Catalan hospitality.

Catalan gastronomy is considered one of the most influential in the Mediterranean, the result of centuries of cultural and commercial exchanges.

During dinner, the Tour Leader will present the itinerary and explain the main cultural highlights that will be explored throughout the journey.

DAY 2.

BARCELONA.

The City of Gaudí and the Soul of the Mediterranean.

The day will be dedicated to discovering Barcelona’s most important cultural and architectural landmarks.

Sagrada Família.

The visit begins at the Basilica of the Sagrada Família, Antoni Gaudí’s most emblematic masterpiece and one of the most visited monuments in Europe.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Works of Antoni Gaudí, it represents a unique synthesis of architecture, spirituality, and nature.

Participants will discover the symbolism of its façades, the spectacular interior inspired by a natural forest, and Gaudí’s innovative vision, whose masterpiece continues to be under construction more than a century after its inception.

Today, the basilica stands as one of the great symbols of Barcelona and of human creativity.

Park Güell.

Continuation to Park Güell.

Also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this space reflects Gaudí’s extraordinary ability to integrate architecture and landscape.

During the visit, participants will discover its mosaics, panoramic terraces, and organic structures inspired by the forms of nature.

Its viewpoints offer some of the finest views over Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea.

Casa Batlló.

The Modernist experience continues with a visit to Casa Batlló.

Considered one of Gaudí’s masterpieces, the building amazes visitors with its undulating forms, colorful façade, and symbolism inspired by the legend of Saint George (Sant Jordi), the patron saint of Catalonia.

The visit provides insight into the remarkable level of technical and artistic innovation achieved by Catalan Modernism.

Lunch at Can Culleretes.

Lunch at the oldest restaurant in Catalonia, founded in 1786.

Can Culleretes is part of Barcelona’s history and has served as a meeting place for artists, writers, and intellectuals for generations.

This gastronomic experience offers the opportunity to discover some of the most representative recipes of traditional Catalan cuisine, prepared with locally sourced products and deeply rooted cultural traditions.

Gothic Quarter.

In the afternoon, tour of the historic heart of Barcelona.

The Gothic Quarter preserves the city’s medieval layout and provides insight into Barcelona’s evolution from Roman times to its consolidation as a major Mediterranean commercial power.

Its narrow streets, historic squares, and monumental buildings tell the story of centuries of history.

Barcelona Cathedral.

The Cathedral is one of the finest examples of Catalan Gothic architecture.

Its construction reflects the economic and religious power achieved by the city during the Middle Ages.

Jewish Quarter.

Barcelona’s former Jewish Quarter was one of the most important in the Iberian Peninsula.

During the visit, participants will learn about the influence of the Jewish community on the city’s economic, scientific, and cultural development.

Plaça del Rei.

One of the best-preserved medieval ensembles in Europe.

This square was the setting for key events in the history of the Crown of Aragon.

Las Ramblas.

Walk along Barcelona’s most iconic boulevard.

La Boqueria Market.

A tradition deeply rooted in Spanish culture, offering the opportunity to enjoy one of the country’s most beloved flavors.

DAY 3.

MONTSERRAT AND PENEDÈS.

Spirituality, Landscapes, and Wine Culture.

Departure for Montserrat.

Montserrat.

Montserrat is one of the most emblematic places in Catalonia.

Its unique geological formation has created one of the most spectacular landscapes on the Iberian Peninsula.

The mountain is part of the Montserrat Protected Natural Area and serves as a spiritual and cultural symbol for millions of people.

Benedictine Monastery.

Founded in the 11th century, the monastery has played an essential role in preserving Catalan culture.

Over the centuries, it has become a center of pilgrimage, knowledge, and spirituality.

La Moreneta.

Access to the sanctuary of the Virgin of Montserrat, the patron saint of Catalonia.

Popularly known as La Moreneta, she is one of the most venerated religious figures in Spain.

Audiovisual Experience.

The audiovisual presentation will provide insight into the geological formation of the mountain, the history of the monastery, and its cultural influence.

Montserrat Boys’ Choir.

Attendance at a performance by the Montserrat Boys’ Choir, one of the oldest children's choral schools in Europe.

Its performances have been part of Catalan cultural heritage for centuries.

Lunch at Restaurant Cisneros.

The gastronomic experience reflects the culinary traditions associated with the mountain and the inland cuisine of Catalonia.

PENEDÈS.

In the afternoon, continuation to the wine-producing region of Penedès.

Penedès Wine Region.

Penedès is one of Europe’s leading wine-producing regions.

Its vineyard landscapes are part of Catalonia’s cultural identity and represent centuries of agricultural tradition.

Winery Visit.

The visit will provide insight into the production process of the wines and cavas that have brought international recognition to the region.

Wine and Cava Tasting.

Participants will discover the importance of the Penedès Designation of Origin and of cava, one of Catalonia’s most renowned products.

Return to Barcelona.

DAY 4.

TARRAGONA AND VALENCIA.

From Roman Hispania to the Mediterranean City.

Departure for Tarragona.

Tarragona – UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ancient Tarraco was the capital of Hispania Citerior and one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire outside Italy.

The Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the exceptional preservation of its Roman monuments.

Roman Amphitheatre.

Located facing the Mediterranean Sea, it is one of the most spectacular examples of Spain’s Roman heritage.

This was the venue for gladiatorial combats and major public spectacles.

Roman Circus.

Considered one of the best-preserved Roman circuses in Europe.

It offers insight into the importance of chariot racing within Roman society.

Roman Walls.

The walls represent some of the oldest Roman defensive structures preserved on the Iberian Peninsula.

VALENCIA.

VALENCIA AND ALBUFERA.

Central Market.

Exterior visit to one of the most impressive Modernist markets in Europe.

It reflects the richness of Valencian agriculture and gastronomy.

City of Arts and Sciences.

Panoramic visit of the complex designed by Santiago Calatrava.

This architectural ensemble symbolizes modern Valencia and its commitment to innovation and knowledge.

ALBUFERA NATURAL PARK.

Continuation to one of the most important natural areas of the Mediterranean.

Albufera is protected as a Natural Park and internationally recognized as a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance.

Traditional Boat Ride.

Navigation across the lagoon to discover the landscapes that have shaped Valencian life for centuries.

The Rice Fields of Albufera.

Participants will learn about the origins of authentic Valencian paella.

The rice fields form part of the region’s historic landscape and represent one of Valencia’s most distinctive cultural elements.

Traditional Valencian Lunch.

A gastronomic experience dedicated to the most internationally renowned dish of Valencian cuisine.

Paella will be enjoyed in the very environment where this iconic recipe was born, reinforcing the connection between territory, agriculture, and gastronomy.

Artisanal Horchata Tasting.

An experience dedicated to one of Valencia’s most emblematic products.

Horchata made with Valencia Tiger Nuts (Chufa de Valencia PDO) will provide an opportunity to discover a unique gastronomic tradition deeply rooted in the Valencian countryside.

Farewell Dinner.

Final dinner of the journey.
